New Release: 'Lonesome Cybernetic Drifter on Mars...' by Volcano Kings

The wait is over… before it even began! 2021’s most accurately titled album, ‘Lonesome Cybernetic Drifter on Mars (Or Lo-Fi Morricone-esque in Space)’ by Volcano Kings, is here. The boys opted for a surprise release via their Bandcamp page on Wednesday August 26th and while already a hit with fans the band has accumulated in their 13 years of activity, the album arrives just in time to capture that coveted Bandcamp Friday hype cycle.

‘Lonesome’ also marks a new peak in the Kings’ epic career arc, doubling down on the post rock sensibilities of 2018’s Wasteland EP and veering their muses in more directions both more rural and cinematic. Call it… post spagetti?
